The headline EV lease deal this month is Hyundai's: a 2027 IONIQ 5 for $359 a month. Read past the big number, though, and the better value may be its much larger sibling, the three-row IONIQ 9. Once you count the cash due at signing, it costs about the same per month as the IONIQ 5.

Below are the best EV lease deals for November 2026 that we could verify on manufacturer websites or in reporting from October and November. Each one has the details that decide whether a lease is a good deal: term, cash due at signing, mileage and expiration date. We also show how to work out what a lease really costs you each month.

Sources: Hyundai and Tesla terms are from Electrek's report of November 6, 2026. Kia EV3 terms are from InsideEVs' report of October 20, 2026. Tesla's $499 lease needs $3,000 down. The roughly $4,195 total adds the first payment and Tesla's acquisition fee, based on Autoblog's breakdown of the same lease. Effective monthly cost uses the formula in the box below. All prices exclude tax, title, registration and dealer fees, and require top-tier credit.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 $359 Lease, Explained

Hyundai is offering the 2027 IONIQ 5 SE Standard Range for $359 a month for 24 months with $4,999 due at signing. That trim starts at $35,250 and has an EPA-estimated range of up to 245 miles. For $10 more a month, the IONIQ 5 SE RWD with the bigger battery goes up to 318 miles and starts at $37,750. Both offers end November 30.

The low payment follows a price cut. After the $7,500 federal EV tax credit expired at the end of September 2025, Hyundai cut IONIQ 5 prices by nearly $10,000 on some trims. Both the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9 are built at Hyundai's Metaplant America near Savannah, Georgia.

The catch is the short term. Spread over 24 payments, $4,999 adds about $208 a month, which brings the real cost to about $567 a month. Electrek ran a 36-month IONIQ 5 lease through Hyundai's payment calculator. With the same $4,999 down, it came to about $412 a month, or about $550 effective. That is an estimate, not an advertised offer, and your dealer's numbers may differ.

Why the IONIQ 9 Lease May Be the Better Deal

The IONIQ 9 SE leases for $419 a month for 36 months, also with $4,999 due at signing. Its effective cost is about $558 a month, less than the 24-month IONIQ 5 deal and only about $8 more than the IONIQ 5 calculator estimate at 36 months.

For that money you get a vehicle with a starting price of $58,955, about $24,000 more than the base IONIQ 5. You also get up to 335 miles of EPA-estimated range on the SE, a third row with six or seven seats, and up to 163.5 cubic feet of passenger space, compared with up to 106.5 in the IONIQ 5. Electrek's Peter Johnson wrote that the IONIQ 9 "looks like the better deal right now."

The fine print
  • Total cash still differs. The 24-month IONIQ 5 costs about $13,600 in all. The 36-month IONIQ 9 costs about $20,100. The IONIQ 9 is cheaper per month, but you commit to it for a year longer.
  • Mileage limits matter. Hyundai's advertised offers did not state an annual mileage allowance. Ask, and price out extra miles before you sign. Tesla charges $0.25 for each mile over the limit.
  • Regional terms vary. Hyundai and Kia offers can change by ZIP code and dealer. Confirm the offer on the brand's website using your ZIP code before you go to the dealer.

Other EV Lease Deals Worth a Look

  • Kia EV3: Kia's smallest US EV leased for $321 a month for 36 months with $3,999 due and 10,000 miles a year on the Wind FWD, according to InsideEVs in late October. That works out to about $432 effective, the lowest in our table. InsideEVs also reported an all-wheel-drive EV3 lease for $379 a month. Kia did not publish an expiration date, so confirm the deal is still running. Read our Kia EV3 price and range guide.
  • Tesla Model Y: the RWD Model Y leases for $499 a month for 36 months with $3,000 down and up to 321 miles of range. Tesla sells direct, so the price is the same nationwide, but its fees push the effective cost to about $616. That makes it the priciest deal here.

What's missing: We could not verify current national lease programs for the Chevrolet Equinox EV, Nissan Leaf or Volkswagen ID.4 on the automakers' own sites or in recent reporting, so we left them out of the table. Dealers may still have their own specials. The Honda Prologue has been discontinued, so any remaining deals are on leftover inventory. If you are looking at an ID.4, check the VIN. More than 22,000 US ID.4s are under a battery recall that limits charging to 80% until a fix is ready.

How to Read an EV Lease Deal

Effective monthly cost formula

Effective monthly cost = monthly payment + (due at signing ÷ number of months)

Example: IONIQ 5 at $359 for 24 months with $4,999 due works out to $359 + ($4,999 ÷ 24) = about $567. If the due-at-signing amount already includes the first payment, the exact figure is a little lower, but this quick version lets you compare offers fairly.

  • Total cost: monthly payment × months + due at signing. This is what the car costs you over the whole lease.
  • Mileage: 10,000 miles a year is common in advertised deals. Expect to pay 15 to 30 cents for each extra mile.
  • Fees: look for acquisition fees (often included in due at signing) and a disposition fee when you turn the car in.
  • Compare equal terms: a 24-month deal and a 36-month deal can't be compared on the monthly payment alone.

The bottom line: Hyundai's $359 IONIQ 5 lease is real, but once you add the $4,999 due at signing it costs about $567 a month. For roughly the same effective payment, the IONIQ 9 gets you a three-row SUV with more range and far more space, as long as you are willing to keep it for three years. If you want the lowest monthly cost, the Kia EV3 at about $432 effective is hard to beat. Hyundai's deals end November 30, so confirm terms by ZIP code before you sign.
