In a groundbreaking announcement, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Ford CEO Jim Farley have revealed a partnership that will give Ford EV customers access to over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and Canada starting early next year. This collaboration significantly expands the charging options for Ford EV drivers, doubling the number of fast-chargers available to them.

Key Details:

  • Access Starts: Early 2024

  • Superchargers Available: Over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers plus the existing 10,000+ DC fast-chargers in the BlueOval Charge Network

  • Compatible Models: Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, E-Transit (using an adapter and FordPass or Ford Pro Intelligence for payment and activation)

Future Integration:

In 2025, Ford will introduce next-generation electric vehicles equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector, allowing direct access to Tesla Superchargers without the need for an adapter.

This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing the EV charging infrastructure, providing Ford EV owners with unprecedented access to the largest fast-charging network in North America.
